The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a voluntary public service program aimed at developing the personality and character of students through community service. It encourages students to actively participate in social welfare activities and contribute meaningfully to society.
Our college started the NSS unit in 14th October 2024, with a strong commitment to social responsibility and community development. Currently, the unit is functioning actively with one unit comprising 50 dedicated student volunteers.
The NSS unit of our institution conducts various activities focusing on:
Community development programs
Environmental awareness campaigns
Health and hygiene initiatives
Blood donation camps
Swachh Bharat activities
Awareness rallies and social service programs
Village adoption and rural development activities
Through these initiatives, students develop leadership qualities, teamwork skills, social awareness, and a sense of civic responsibility.
The NSS unit is guided and coordinated by our Respected Programme Officer, Mr. K. Vijayan, Assistant Professor, who leads and motivates the volunteers to actively participate in service-oriented activities. Under his guidance, the volunteers are consistently working towards creating a positive impact in society.
