IQAC at T.J.S College of Arts and Science was started to vision, to ensure quality culture as the prime
concern for the Institution and internalizing all the initiatives taken with internal and external support. We
strongly believe that T.J.S. Group of Institutions imparts quality education and elevate the aspiring rural
students in academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
The Founder of the Institution aimed to provide opportunities to the first generation learners from rural
back ground and help them to graduate and highly employable, instilling value based education and to mould
the younger generation. We have an Internal Quality Assurance Cell working since the inception of the college
from the academic year 2023-2024, Headed by the Principal, Dr.V.Lakshmipathy as the IQAC Chairperson,
senior faculty Lt.Dr.B.Bhuvaneswari as the IQAC Coordinator.
We will be forming the Criterion Coordinators once we apply for NAAC in the future.
THE INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL
The objectives of IQAC are to develop a system for conscious, consistent and holistic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution and to assure all the stakeholders connected with higher education about the quality of education provided by the institution. IQAC is constantly working towards realizing the goal of quality enhancement and sustenance.

FUNCTIONS:
- Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
- Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education.
- Inclusive learning through Faculty development programs to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
- Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
- Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles
- Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement
- Dissemination of best practices in the institution.
- Development and maintenance of institutional database for the purpose of maintaining/enhancing the institutional quality
- Development of Quality Culture in the institution.
- Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC and conduction of internal audit.
STRATEGIES:
IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for:
- Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks
- Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching, learning and evaluation.
- Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure.
