The Youth Red Cross (YRC) is a prominent, studentfocused wing of the Indian Red Cross Society
designed to foster a spirit of service, health, and
friendship among youth. Operating in schools and
colleges, YRC focuses on voluntary blood donation,
first aid training, disaster relief, and community
health awareness, aiming to develop compassionate,
community-focused volunteers.
College Activities
Organizing blood donation camps, health awareness programs, and hygiene campaigns.
Assisting with disaster relief, environmental cleaning, and supporting vulnerable populations.
Skill Development Providing training in first aid and nurturing leadership skills for social
service.
Structure and Principles
Motto: “To Serve”. Based on the seven principles of the Red Cross: Humanity, Impartiality,
Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity, and Universality units are formed within
educational institutions, often with a program officer guiding the volunteers.

Why YRC?

➢ Sometimes doing first-aid training and safety awareness (like fire safety)
